Details & Requirements for all calls
- Submissions can be emailed to (20 Mb attachment limit). Our info@ email will also receive submissions.
- Scores must be legible with the approximate duration clearly indicated (do not send parts).
- You must include your contact info, a brief biography/CV, and a brief explanation of your composition.
- If possible, include a recording (MIDI realizations are acceptable)
- Submitted works cannot be published or have had a professional or public performance (workshops and student performances acceptable; major revisions acceptable)
- Successful applicants must agree to be present for the workshop. Though the workshop is free, applicants will be responsible for their own travel arrangements and expenses.
- You must be an emerging Canadian composer who has not yet established widespread recognition in your field (landed immigrant status is accepted).

The CCMW, Canadian Contemporary Music Workshop, is presenting a string quartet workshop and concert by the Madawaska Quartet this September, in Toronto.

We will also be having a "Composers' Orchestra" concert this November. Please email Abigail Richardson directly ( ) if you are interested in writing for string orchestra. Otherwise, send completed string orchestra works to .
We typically perform works by emerging composers (no age restrictions) but we are also looking for several established string orchestra works around 10 minutes in duration.
